Comments (English): We recently returned from our visit to Honduras. We stumbled across the Diving Pelican Inn and knew immediately we had found a gem. It was clean, safe, right on the beach, great feautures (private outside bar, the Barefoot Saloon), great sheets & towels, tv/dvd, air conditioning, purified water and coffee pot with Honduran coffee every day. The owners, Jim & Cathryn provided us with beach chairs, towels and umbrellas and their beach was immaculate. We learned they have it cleaned several days a week to keep it that way and to keep sand flies away. We had toiletries provided for us in our room, they loaned us books, movies and helped ut take some side trips and even made us reservations at another hotel in Utila for a little side trip of diving. We would strongly recommend the Diving Pelican Inn to anyone who wants Central American prices BUT North American and European expectations.
